What do you see when you look at wedding photography? Beyond the
beautiful dresses and flowers, beyond the picturesque settings,
there are the emotions, the moments, and the personalities.
My wedding photography comes from a documentary perspective. I
concentrate on candid moments of people that evoke a sense of the
day's special mood and character. As well as the traditional posed
group photographs, my specialty is seeing and capturing fleeting,
unposed moments that reveal the joy and energy of people being themselves.
I
photograph all the planned events, but I believe my photography
is distinctive because I also aggressively seek those moments which
are more subtle, yet nonetheless beautiful and stirring. Every image
I make maximizes the moment's evocative, emotional, and compositional
content. Every image works to tell the story about your wedding
day through the personalities of you, your friends, and your family.
After viewing my portfolio for the first time, a client once told
me she could see herself, her fiancee, her friends, and her family
in my photography, even though she was seeing images of other people.
Feelings like that come from people being comfortable with the presence
of the photographeróso comfortable that they just relax, have fun,
and forget about the guy with the camera. I hope you see this in
my portfolio, too.
If the images here interest you, I'd be happy to speak with you
to discuss in greater detail what I offer and how I work to provide
you with distinctive memories of your wedding day.
